Inventory System

Just like all other games, Inventory is one of the most important thing in games. Be it games where you have just 3 weapons to choose from to games where you have to collect pieces of puzzles or information to progress, all these come under the category of Inventory Items.


In our game, the Player will be collecting Documents, Audio Tapes, Keys, etc. which will help the player progress in the game solving puzzles, walking through locked doors, exploring locked areas.


Just like any other game, the Player will be able to open the inventory at any time and that will pause the game as the Player is in the inventory menu. The inventory will have information about the Player's Health and Sanity as well.


The items will have a brief description so that the Player at first recognizes what item can be used where. As a team, it was decided that only the stamina bar will be on-screen always, but the lowering of health and sanity will be shown through screen effects.


The Player will be collecting keys to open locked doors, documents which will have hints to solve some puzzles or just to give the backstory to familiarize the Player what happened in the facility, Audio Tapes which will have recorded conversations of people to immerse the Player more into the Game.
